We are lovers of sloppy kisses, “happy you’re home” jigs, waggy tails, and bright eyes! Through our own family of rescues, we have fallen in love with those in need of caring, compassionate, and active advocates. We affectionately call our family posse the K Dogs, with the K standing for our last name, Kaasch.

Molly was our first K Dog… Rescued from the pound at one-year-old, Molly, a pit-lab mix, stole our hearts and lived to the ripe age of 16. She loved rides in my husband’s truck, scrambled eggs, and snuggles.

Next came Rosie Merí…Palomino Valley Pet Rescue saved her and her littermates’ lives with less than 24 hours to spare. The rescue nursed Rosie and her littermates back to health, and she rode with us to her forever home on a sunny day in May. A mastiff-pointer mix, Rosie adores Barkbox, Greenies, belly rubs in the morning, and sleeps under my chair each day. Almost eight years old now, she brings our family such delight.

Our latest addition was Julia Grace…Abandoned twice–once left for dead at a local park, and the second time surrendered by her first adoption family–this “short stack” makes us laugh daily. From meerkatting to compensate for her small pit/Jack Russell-type stature to zooming from corner to corner in the backyard and cuddling with me after dinner, we affectionately call her “Gremmie.” Trust us, she’s just like a Gremlin, and yes, that means you don’t want her to get wet. Gremmie is a hoot.

That’s what we’re about. Exciting, huh? It all comes down to the dawgs, and we think that’s just the way it should be.

Cheers from the K Dogs,
Molly, Rosie, and Julia
and their parents, Jake and Lora Kaasch
